MIKE CARGILE

“Smile…it’s Cargile!” I am the Family Man. My objective, and overwhelming motivation in this political pursuit, is protecting, preserving and providing for our families. As a husband and a father with many good friends, I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to be a Representative for some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met. Through the years I have been a coach, a crossing guard for my kids, a booster President/fund raiser and a deacon at my church. Professionally, I have been a writer, an actor, a director, a producer, an editor and a marketing director. Additionally, I helped run a small indie music label and managed a rock band from Australia and somewhere in the middle of all that, I helped handle the private label manufacturing for The Power Rangers food products. Prior to my move to California in 1991, I had a short stint as a Quartermaster Army Officer and then went Individual Ready Reserve after Desert Storm. My family has a long history with the US Army and I thought it would be exciting to try something new…Hollywood. I was not disappointed.

Southern California is where I met my beautiful wife, Nan, and where we’ve raised our two kids. I understand that to whom much is given, much is required. And from that is born my desire to serve the people and businesses of the 35th Congressional District of California. This is not about ME, it’s about YOU… my neighbors! At a time of unprecedented assault on our freedoms, our traditions and our Constitution, we need representatives willing to stand in the gap on behalf of the American people. Our citizens deserve to be treated with dignity, respect and unwavering support. I plan on doing just that!

CANDIDATE STATEMENT

I am an Army veteran, small businessman and filmmaker, a father and a Christian. I see a great potential for the people of our district. However, poor leadership has forced many Californians to lose hope; thousands are leaving California because of crime and gang ridden streets, no jobs, high taxes, and closed schools. We deserve better. The vision I have for our area will make our community the place people want to come to, not leave. This is our home. This is where my wife and I have raised our kids. We have invested our lives here. Our church family is here. I want everyone to feel safe and secure. I want every parent to have schools that are ready to teach our children. As violent mobs torch and destroy our country, we need to assess years of failed leadership. Opponents of free speech attack anyone they disagree with as being “racist”. The radicals that burn, loot, and murder also demand that no police will come to your aid. Some will cancel your heritage and freedom because it doesn’t matter to them. Your security is important to me. Your God given rights are not negotiable. This election may be the most important decision you will ever make. This is the time for choosing. Will it be freedom and opportunity or fear and hate? I am asking you to allow me to serve our community for the next 2 years as your Representative in Congress.
